Mark H. Donevant

Mark is a native of Myrtle Beach and a graduate of both Horry Georgetown Technical College and Coast Carolina University.

His previous experience as a forester at Canal Forest Resources and an inspector with SCDHEC brings an environmental focus to the design of new projects. Mark has extensive experience in representing clients before the regulatory community, especially with South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) and Horry County Engineering and Planning offices for land development projects.

Mark has been a Construction Manager for The EARTHWORKS Group on large projects for over 15 years and has developed relationships with local contractors and regulators that keep the projects moving forward smoothly.

Mr. Donevant has more than 23 years of civil and environmental engineering experience, including water resources, municipal infrastructure assessment, design and construction experience.

This includes watershed inventory, storm water hydrology & hydraulics (H & H) modeling, municipal infrastructure design, construction management services, and sediment and erosion control design.

He has been involved in projects of all magnitudes from smaller residential subdivisions and single use commercial sites to the large multi-phase communities.

He has specialized expertise in the modeling of large watersheds for FEMA flood mapping (LOMA and LOMR submittals), design supervision of many phases of civil and environmental work including storm water systems, water and sewer systems, road construction, and permitting for municipal and private development projects.

He has extensive experience in representing clients before the regulatory community with significant emphasis on the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, Coastal Zone Management, and Bureau of Water.

His work for the Simpson Creek Watershed Study was featured on the Streamline Technologies website to illustrate the FEMA LOMR work completed.

His extensive experience in these fields is a major asset to the company and the clients who rely on the smooth construction process.

He has been Construction Manager for The EARTHWORKS Group on all projects for the past 20 years and have developed relationships with local contractors and regulators that keep the projects moving forward smoothly.

Recently Mr. Donevant has assisted with design and permitting for FEMA emergency housing from the wake of Hurricane Matthew in Panama City and Mexico Beach Florida, to include on site reconnaissance and permit with Florida Department of Environmental Protection.

Mr. Donevant has practical construction experience and common sense, which creates an unbeatable skill set for resolving difficult field problems.
